This format is not supported by OrangeCD 5.2 so I think the best you can do is re-enter date as period 1982-1986 or leave just one date (and possible put a 1982-1986 in the notes section).

I so sorry, but date as period I can enter only in the Song Properties, not in Album properties.

You are right, release date is not supposed to be a period Perhaps you could enter dates into Recording date field instead... I don't see any other workaround.

May be, I can define a custom field and include in template check of this field : if this field is not empty, - display it instead the standard; in other case - use standard field?
