Numbering with sorted artist name?

I'm trying to use auto-numbering which includes artist name like "Alice in Chains - Dirt" would get A-1 number. There are 2 issues with this feature:

1. It takes only full artist name, not sorted. So "The Doors" goes to T-1 instead of D-1.

2. With russian names it takes russian letters while I would prefer to use translit to generate numbers. Example: "ДДТ" suppose to go to D-1 but goes to Д-1.

Any ideas? Both are easy to implement and would greatly improve my experience with this cool software.

Sorry russian letter were transcoded to #xxxx . But I think Anderi knows what I'm talking about.

And another feature request related to my 1st post. Can the naming template be more flexible. I use <1st letter of artist sort><unique number> style of numbering my CD collection while the current implementation allows you only <1st letter>-<number> style. Thanks, Vlad!
