    Default Credits again

    Hi, Andrei!

How is it going with the credits? You promised a high priority on that one...hope to see it soon!

This feature must be customizable, considering there are one zillion different instruments, musicians may have the same name, and one musician can have several roles in one song...etc.

Yes, credits is an important thing to me too.
Also the producer list-field turns out to be a bit unhandy as soon as there are more than one person producing an album ... which appears to happen fairly often ...

Anyway, I would appreciate an improved and customizable credits feature too ... I have all this information stuffed into the personal notes so far and search via full-text search.
(And I should hope any such feature would allow me to use/import all this stuff that I put in by now ... don

How is it going on this one, Andrei? I vaguely remember you promising something...?

Sorry if I missed this in the latest build. Haven't had much time with it, but looks great so far.

what i thought about is a big list of empty fields with customable field titles (like custom 1, custom 2 and 3). probable all the field titles should be customable: as for me i never use "performer", "orchestra" or "conductor" fields. if they were customable i'd use them how i wished...
besides there could be additinal fields for reviews, and a separate page for band info (with a couple of pictures, maybe...) how about that?

Also another thing on this.....more then one Artis who do an Album together.

Like lets say the Album "Pancho & Lefty" where Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson did the Album.

Or The Traveling Wilburys which did Albums that had Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty.

Yeah, that's harder...I once asked if it would be possible to allow more than one instance of an album (as in sort name 1: Dylan 2: Lynne ...etc), but I don't remember Andrei's answer.

It would be great, though, so when you list Yes albums you also get Steve Howe solo albums (without losing Howe from his listing under H)

(and of course, not to loose this thread: full credits with instruments and all

I'd sure like to have the ability to credit more than one artist to one track. This way if you click on either artist's link it would take you to that artist's material. The way I see it right now is One Artist - One track.

This feature would be nice - for example.
I have CD by Rick Wakeman. Ozzy Osbourne does guest vocals on one track. If I select my Ozzy CD's, I'd like for that Rick Wakeman CD to show up.

    Make sense?

I guess this is in the same vein as the rest of thread.

    Version 6?

Full credits will be added to the program, and if everything will go the way I want it to go this will happen in version 5.3 - in April.

    Again, I don't promise anything.

But rest assured that I need full credits feature for my own collection, so I'll do my best.
