Default Problem with files with small filenames

I am having trouble with version 5.2.0.7523 in that id3 tag details (including track length) are not read by Orangecd if the mp3 file has 8 characters or less in the filename.

    Is this a known issue?

Trolling through the old messages on the forum I noticed that the failure to read tag/time issue has been raised in the following threads:

    http://www.firetongue.com/boards/orangecd_general/1049525027.html

    http://www.firetongue.com/boards/orangecd_general/1057961470.html

    http://www.firetongue.com/boards/orangecd_general/1067223248.html

However, the problem discussed in these threads was linked back to a failure to correctly parse the headers for certain mp3 types/bitrates (and not specifically as a result of mp3s with small filenames). I do not think my issue is anything to do with the mp3 types/bitrates because if I increase the filename length past 8 characters the problem is resolved.

In most of the above threads, Firetongue requested a copy of the offending mp3 file for analysis. Just wondering if anything further became of this?

:-[ I've the same problem. When i use the scan for mediafiles and add then i have the same problem. No track length is added to any of the files i just added. I've used several different bitrates and file names but none will be correct. Where's the problem? And who know's the answer to this problem!!!
