Bug or limitation ?

Below is the results of 2 types of scans, the first from a CD and the other from a MP3 file.

My question is why does the MP3 scan not read the full album title like the CD scan does.

Hi,

There is a difference between CD and MP3 scan features. When OrangeCD scans CD, it connects to the Internet server and downloads all information from there. In case of MP3 files, it does not go to Internet. Instead, it simply decodes the information that already exists inside your MP3 files.

That explains why you get different results from different features. In your case, MP3 files do not have the full information in them.

Grab a Program like that to Tag your Files and then Scan getting info from ID3v2 Tags.

Or do it manually.Which I do alot of. :-/

One reason I want some Features added to Orange that deals with renaming text.But that is for another Thread and another day. :P
