====== Renumbering entire database in specific order ====== Follow these steps to renumber all albums in the database in specific order: - click menu **View** -> **Preferences** and switch to the **Numbers** tab. - check //Assign reference numberds to new albums// option. - select //Number// from the //Style// box. - press **OK** button. - click menu **Navigate** -> **Entire collection** to display all albums in one view. - sort the view by any criteria. For example, click on Artist or Composer column header to sort by artist or composer. The numbers will be assigned in exact order as the albums are displayed on screen, so make sure to choose proper sorting order before proceeding. - click menu **Tools** -> **Renumber**. - set //Range// option to //Entire List//. - uncheck //Preserve existing numbers// option. - Press **OK** button. Actual renumbering of big database may take up to 1 minute. The resulting unique numbers are stored in //Reference Number// (Reference#) field available in **Library** tab of album properties window.
