Cannot add new albums

I recently lost everything in a crash. Now I've re downloaded the CD catalog and restored the contents from a backup disc I made befroe the crash.
Unfortunately, I can type in new info in the add album dialog box, but when I click on "OK", the new album does not appear in my collection list. Please tell me theres some simple answer!

Does the album appear in tree? Does it appear in the list after you press F5 key or choose Refresh command from the list context menu?
