    Default Database size

I just copied three albums from one OrangeCD database to another. The source database contains 32 albums, while the destination database was empty.

Can anyone explain why the source database with 32 albums is only 386KB, while the new database with only three - 3 - albums takes appears to be over 1MB.

I simply used the Database | Import and export ... | Import from OrangeCD (current version) function.

    Compacting the database doesn't help.

    I'm running OrangeCD 5.1.0 build 7112.

    Default Re: Database size

The only explanation I have is that the old database has "Store covers in external files" option checked. If this is the case, the images are stored there as separate files, so the database itself is significantly smaller. On the other hand, destination (new) database may store the images embedded in the file.

This option can be found on the Imaging tab of the Preferences window.
