Hi Bob

You're probably right. I did some testing myself, and found that fine tuning these two parameters does actually reduce the DB size drastically. Here are the results of my little test:

My OCD collection stats
Total playtime............: 34:06:57:40
Total # of albums.......: 849
Total # of disks..........: 911
Total # of sets............: 50
Total # of tracks.........: 15125

Test results:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
---(1)-------(2)-------(3)-------------(4)---------(5)---------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes 32KB....Yes.....11,12 MB.......148,2 MB....776
Yes 32KB....No........5,12 MB.......148,2 MB....776
Yes 16KB....No........3,29 MB.......150,2 MB....860
Yes 8KB....No........2,74 MB.......150,6 MB....888
Yes 0KB....No........2,59 MB.......150,7 MB....911

(1) = Store images in external file if size exceeds...
(2) = Store thumbnails in database
(3) = My OCD database file (.dab) size
(4) = My covers folder size
(5) = # of files in covers folder

So setting the cover size to 0 KB would reduce an OCD collection of 6000 disks to approx. 17MB.
