As far as I've been able to determine the ownername tag doesn't work in 6.x templates whether it's written as <!--[ownername/]--> or <dax: ownername/>.

And in themes the tag doesn't seem to work at all. The tag displays absolutely nothing in OCD 5.x or 6.x
