Please, please, please make it easy...
Why can't you just copy'n'paste the info? ???
How many albums does this apply on? Surely not that many. And the album IS often called the same as artist on selftitled ones...so no reason why not...
Yes, Andrei, we'll test!! Do you have a appr. date for beta releases?
Happy Christmas to you all and happy birthday to myself 8)
Even if that marketing strategy is flawed, I'll be happy to pay for updates. Call them something else or whatever.
Also I will never convert to another software anyway. In the worst case scenario...
EDIT: This discussion took a U-turn in Reply #9...please read to find good news on ODC updates ;D
Hello, Andrei!
Right now, I feel that *any* new or improved feature would be nice...I get a...
...or should I look for other software again :'(
Please tell me I don't have to! :-*

Hi, Firetongue!
I'd like to see enhanced credits for filling in who did what on a recording, and being able to sort on those entries.
Will we ever see it?
Regards from a patient user...
Andrei long ago promised better credit fields, which should help a lot in these matters...but Andrei also promises a lot :(
Hope it shows up soon, though I doubt it.

kjetil
I put 'owner', 'enhanced cd' & 'turntablism related' in the custom fields...but that's only for my specialized needs.
It's NOT only classical music cataloguing that needs credits. As soon as you...
Well, very much in the same way, I guess. With credits you could sort by "playing guitar", "remixed by" and so on, and searching on an artist will get you detailed list of appearances, which...
Wouldn't it be very messy when you have several 'featuring' which is quite common in rap and jazz?
I still feel much of this could be solved with the searchable 'credits' function. Then...
Well, I would be lying if I didn't say I have been wanting and requesting the 'credits' feature for q-u-i-t-e some time. The obvious place to get that info is...exactly. AMG.
But! I am not...
Me too! And I know Andrei will deliver the goods - again :D
It makes much sense to have a "guest musician" entry/checkbox for the credits. Should even be track-wise. Perfect for searching songs including a certain musician.
Maybe the instrument & name...
This is a feature that won't be possible until the long awaited full credits is around. Which should be real soon, right Andrei?? :D
Here goes an example: I look up "In the court of the Crimson...
and also when extracting artist:
Andrei promised to look into separation of name/track. Sometimes it's neccessary to define the separator manually (- / , : etc).
(just a reminder;))

Hi,
I encountered a minor bug when adding CDs by scanning:
I use the much welcomed open/close buttons since my cdr-door is under by desk and hard to reach. Sometimes I just push the door shut,...
Oh, thanks...
God I hate IE >:(
And love ODB, that, of course, was innocent in this :)
Now 'statistics' works full scope...but wouldn't it be nice if you could see statistics within an area (i.e. the custom fields).
An example: I have 'country' as first custom field. I would be...
Sometimes I enter this homepage from Orange DB. When I do this, Orange 'steals' an open IE window if it exists. This is a very bad habit!!! I might have important sessions going on!
(Also, I'd...
I never thought of this before, but better late than never:
Where do you prefer most to get bug reports/cosmetic feedback/future suggestions?
Is the board ok (it sure seems so...) or should I...
Well yeah, but it is one click away EACH time :-/
I never had to insert a track in the middle of a cd (yet)...
Anyway it is a small matter.

well, yeah...
but I use category (as even other do) as a genre-like description. So it's already 'occupied'.
But thanks for the suggestion!
Hi,
I just had to add a number of tracks to a CD (I will have to do it on some more cds where I insert 'bonus trakcs' myself to fill out the time), and encountered a behaviour that could be...
