Hopefully Andrei can get around to fix this, has been like this for some years.

If you add a CD manually, the icon next to the CD title always show an LP icon. Can't change it. This is shown in the collection under an artist's folder.

Can't sort CD's by year in the collection view under an artist's folder.

Go to the Record Properties Misc tab, at the bottom is the option to change the icon.

What do you mean by 'collection view'? Left or right panel?

Left panel. It's technically not a bug (which is something that doesn't work right) but the lack of a feature. Customize view only allows entries to be sorted two ways: Artist, Title OR Title, Artist. What we are looking for is to be able to sort the entries by release date. To be clear, here is an example:

This is what sort currently allows:

Jensen, Ingrid
At Sea (2005)
Flurry (2007)
Here on Earth (1996)


This what we are looking for (I assume this is what the original poster is looking for)
