Would it be possible to make the 'Role' lists used to autofill the 'Author and Performer', 'Production' and 'Musician' roles available for editing somewhere? A number of the other lists are available on the 'View -> Preferences' property page, Database property sheet.
For example, this would help me add certain musical insturments that show up a lot in rock music, but that Orange does not recognize. The Mellotron and Tambourine are two instruments off the top of my head that OrangeCD doesn't know.
