I believe I have found the problem...

I use Kaspersky Internet Security...I have found when I disable it Orange CD runs pretty good....trouble is I don't know how to configure Kaspersky to allow Orange CD to run freely....I don't know if Orange CD goes onto the internet to run or how it runs...can only help with this problem?

Hi Colorado,

OrangeCD only connects to Internet when it needs to - e.g. when you add albums from Internet database.

Basically, you need to add DADBAPP.EXE to exception list in Kaspersky. I don't have the product, so can't tell actual steps - but it must be possible.
