Multi Disc and Rescan

I am working with the trial version. I have scanned a folder that contains a Disc 1 and Disc 2 directory of FLAC files. The scan shows that there are two albums. When I use the box set feature to create one entry it all works well. My problem is that I when I rescan my music folders (due to new additions or changes) my box set is undone and needs to be created. Is there a way around this. My current configuration for storage drives a need to rescan frequently.

I am bumping this and adding an overall question about rescanning.

As stated I do need to rescan my storage drive often as I frequently add music to the collection. When I rescan my drive I lose modifications to album or artist names (as it is repopulating from the tags).

Is there a way to scan and only look for "new" files?
