    Default Parametrical search?

How does this work and where can I find it?

You should look around OCD more. Query -> Advanced Search

Parameterized search is based on Advanced search as Jazz_North says. So it assumes you are already familiar with the feature and know how to build search queries. It is pretty easy - for example, enter this query to search for albums released in 1997:

    Year is (exactly) 1997

and press Search. As you build query, notice there is a "Prompt" checkbox where you enter year. If you check that checkbox and do the search afterwards, it will prompt you to enter the year separately instead of using what's in search query.

    OK tried that:
    Got v 6.4.6 b.16412

    Could only find Advanced Search.

Entering Any fields - contains - Beethoven String Quartets.
    Nothing is found.
Put a + after Beethoven, same story.

Then I thought, maybe fill the list first:
    1. Beethoven
    2. String quartets
    3. String quartet

This worked, finding also the records having just one quartet, though IMO it's not a very elegant solution: entering in one line and using + signs would've been easier...
