Default Please read: Barcode scanners and OrangeCD Catalog

I am building list of hardware barcode scanners that are confirmed to be compatible with OrangeCD.

So, if you successfully used your barcode reader to catalog your collection in OrangeCD Suite, please send an e-mail to orangecd@firetongue.com or post your scanner model here. Thank you!

Bluetooth (wireless) scanner from Microvision works perfectly. It's rebranded by variety of companies and sold under different names.

    Thanks idhToronto,

Indeed, FLIC works beautifully and I consider adding native support for it in OrangeCD to simplify scanning routine.

    Default Metrologic MS1690

My Metrologic MS1690 didn't work initially, but after I enabled UPC/EAN as per the directions in the Metrologic Single-Line Configuration Guide

it worked fine. It scane much faster than the cue cat

Would love to be able to transfer Amazon data onto the track-length complete data from a CD scan out of the drive. I often find FreeDB doesn't have the disk, so I put it in the drive and of course I often just get the track lengths. I scan the UPC code for Amazon and I get everything except the track lenght. It'd be great to have a button that would merge the two, but I have to lay the scanner down and take the time to type in the track lengths.

The USB :CueCat (Cat. No. 68-1966) made adding my CDs a breeze.

I also use a CueCat, and it works well.
