    Default HTML and the "7"

    I read someplace about the difficulty in removeing the "7" from the HTML pages, but I can't find it now.....ok i'm lazy

    I was wondering if there is a way to coustomize the html generator so the 7 isn't displayed. : I see in the page source, the 7 is actually a dot that the browser reads as a 7. Is there a lot of dot removal in my future ? :-/

    You must be talking about the CMI Template.

    Just open the CMI Template in Notepad and go to the Group Page and remove the dot from the HTML code.

    Then save the edited template and, viola!, no more 7's

    I was having the same problemo.

    In tEh 4pp go to

    View ---> Database

    and change it to Western European for example.
    I think that does the trick also, or i "fixed" the problem and didnt
    realize how...

    Exported the HTML using modified CMI Style E and it was OK.
    Just changed some colors and fine-tuned it stuff with Macromedia.
    Planning to throw it on the net as soon as i've eaten, im starving...

    thanx GS...i'll give er a try. some of the best solutions and products come from accidents.

    hey bob...good idea man, but I can't find the dot...I've removed it from the source of each page...but that will take forever ...however,
    that answered another question of mine. "how can we introduce our own style into the pages w/o having to go source...page by page.

    I removed the dot by using the Dax Editor supplied with the latest Beta versions of Orange. Open the Dax Editor and load the CMI template. Then select the Group tab on the top of the editor to bring up the Grouping section of the template. Next scroll down until you see the foillowing code:

    <P class=catno><b><!--[if($SHOW_CMISTYLE2)]--><!--[if(Number)]--><!--[Number/]--> - <!--[/if]--><!--[/if]--><!--[ArtistSort]-->Artist<!--[/ArtistSort]-->

    I fixed and updated "CMI Style" template on the website. The dots should be replaced with &amp;middot; HTML entity to be displayed properly with all character sets.

    You can re-download the template and the problem should go away.
