Various Artists - how to add info manually?

I have a couple of CDs that are DJ mixes of tracks by various artists. They scan as Artist: DJ's name, and Tracks: Individual Artist - Track Name.

I'd like to label these as Various Artists, which is easy enough to change in the Artist Field. But I can't work out how to change the tracks so they're listed as separate artists. I'd like to keep a catalogue of all the separate artists I have.

(1) Open the "Record Properties" dialog box.

(2) Click on the "Tracks" tab.

(3) Click on the "More" button and select the "Show Artist" option. The "Track List" area changes and displays the artist for each track.

(4) Select the track for which you want to set the artist. In the "Artist" field, enter (or select if already entered) the artist name.

(5) Click on "OK."

Thank you! It is great that I can also keep the DJ name as artist on the album, instead of having to label it Various Artists.
