    Default MP3 data

    Hi guys,

I might be missing something, but orange does not seem to update the mp3 file data. my concern is that after modifying the database because the mp3 data is incorrect or missing and then the Database fails i would have to rework the thousands of entries. I know about backups, but i've worked in this industry for over twenty years and know that eventually something will go wrong.

If orange simply ahd a function or switch to write back to the mp3 then reconstruction would be simply a reloading.

    regards daniel

I fix the MP3 tags either through WinAmp or as a group using an external program - currently - MP3 Observer Home and then rescan

hi, yes but that is double working something and prone to missing bits and pieces. would be simpler for orange to write back to the mp3.

As i work on the database i'm forever finding bits that i have missed. I think having a switch that could be set to indicate if orange is to write the data back would be best.

rescanning the whole database takes a long time.
