Default Template sharing

Hi @,

Here's the templates I've used to export my collection :
http://users.pandora.be/peterstoops/templates.txt

The result can be found on
http://users.pandora.be/peterstoops

I do need two steps, but that's explained in the txt file.

Good luck!

Peter

wosh, that is an excellent selection of albums....

I'm in the process of catalogueing my own collection,
will post it up here when done...
What do you make of "Classic Guides to Strategy"?
I love Zorn, especially Big Gundown, Spillane, "* News for Lulu" and Masada *, but the Classic Guides and Kristallnacht
I can't listen too any more...
You like the Propellerheads?

OK, the template for XML export is on the site :
http://users.pandora.be/peterstoops/templates/
For IE users : for better viewing, better save the file to your disk, and then look at it. Even though the file has a txt extension, IE picks up the XML tag in the document, and displays it accordingly.
Now I'll start thinking about what I could do with it. Not much I think, because I think it will be pretty slow. The exported XML file for my collection is 1691 Kb. So I can imagine it slowing down your browser when navigating throuigh records. I'll see.

I am still working on the templates since it is still not to my liking.. currently I am working on the album info appearing in a seperate pop-up window... and it can be done ;D
When it is finished I will share it

O, the index is also generated by the template

a link to the template is at the bottom of the page. It is a .rar containing the html, graphics, javascripts and a textfile with some explanaition.

Previous link has died ... > so go here

Hi Sealed!

First, I like your template - but have a problem... I entered my whole collection (nearly 2000 CD's) and I used the Custom 1 and 2 fields for other infos... (and the other 2 are also filled)

is there a possibillity, to use the reference number like the custom field 2? and how are the names of the new fields (price, ref #, date of adding)? Probably firetongue can help... )

@ firetongue: can you add some new or actual templates in one of the next installations or updates? Esp. the names of the new fields in the "how to create...txt"...

Are there other users, who created own templates?

greets

monty

Hi Monty

It was kinda of a work around with the custom fields, to make the album info pop-up I needed to use a javascript with a link to the page... the album pages are exported as "cddb-code.html" but there was no way to export the cddb code itself ... the second was the posibility to export the dbase grouped by alfabet.

These things will be fixed in one of the next releases of OrangeCD... or so Andrei told me

In the mean time I keep working on the templates to make them better and more useful to other users as well

thanks for the compliment anyway ;D

Hi all,

I've been playing with the templates a bit, and have decided that I would make a website to post our templates and such. I have links to all the sites that I have seen in the message boards, but if you have more, or new ones, please let me know.

the address is:

http://www.angelfire.com/music5/orangecd/

take a look and let me know what you think!
