The same text may apply to many tracks, eg cover versions of Bob Dylan songs or, in the classical area, Lieder settings of the same poem by Goethe. Unless I've missed something, the lyrics field can only be made to relate to one specific track, when the same text may in fact relate to multiple tracks. It is absurd to have duplicate entries for the same text.
I am not smart enough to imagine how this could be achieved, but is it feasible?
