A few suggestions on Artist handling

First off, I was wondering if the database could detect songs by an artist that are not on a CD by that artist. For Instance, if I'm looking at albums by the band "They Might Be Giants" I'd like to see the Malcom in the Middle and Brain Candy soundtracks listed, both of which feature songs by TMBG.

I guess a side-effect/added-feature of this it that artists who only exist in people's collections through soundtracks and compliations would have their own group in the artist tree.

Another suggestion would be the ability to link related artsts to each other somehow, such as link Sting to The Police, John Lennon to the Beatles, Soundgarden to Chris Cornell to Rage Against the Machine to Zach de la Rocha.

Maybe the best way to do this would be to give Artists their own details page, with links to the equivalent page of the related artists, and maybe some room for comments, links to albums, the existsing web links, etc.. but that seems like a lot of work.

the last suggestion I have, and maybe it exists and I just haven't figured it out, is fot the root page of an HTML export to be able link to both artists and albums. I want to make a table like "thumbnail table" where thumbnail and the album name link to that album, but the artist name links to a similar table, just for that artist. Is there a way I can pull that off already?

Well, thanks for the great software! I've been lovin' it since somtime last august and it's one of only two shareware proggies that this poor college student has bothered to register.
