Adding albums slower

Since this most recent version I am finding that scanning media files for new albums has slowed down, back to the point where it was a few years ago.
It has only happened since upgrading to the most recent version 6.2.2 12315. Prior to this it was going through very quickly.
Has someting changed that affects this?

This should be a one time thing. First time you scan folders after upgrade it will be slower than usual, second time will be fast again. Is this what you see?

No..it is still slow. One other thing I have noticed, is that previous versions scanned from Z to A (at least on my cpu). Now it goes from A to Z with this newest version.
Not sure if that makes a difference but...?

No, the order in which albums are scanned is not important.
There were other changes that could have caused the effect, I am looking into this right now. Thanks for your patience.
