I am having some trouble when scannin most CD's. The scanner, (a Manhattan CCD 80) does not read the UPC in the case. Is this a normal problem? When I remove the back from the case it works fine. Expiring mind wants to know... Bobb

Hi Bobb, This sounds like a hardware problem to me. I would try little experimentation, varying distance and angle of scanning - sometimes light reflects off shiny case and prevents readout. Changing batteries if scanner is cordless may help too. But I have never experienced persistent problems like that with any devices I've dealt with. Andrei

Thanks, I am thinking it mat be the settings I am using for another program. I will report if this solves the problem. (It is a USB scanner so not batteries are involved.) Bobb
